President of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a conducive business environment to foster socio-economic development between Malawi and Mozambique.
Chapo made the remarks during a business interaction session with representatives from the Malawian and Mozambican business communities held in Lilongwe.
He emphasized that his government is open to forging new partnerships with Malawi in key sectors such as transport, trade, tourism, agro-business, energy, infrastructure, and communication systems, aiming to accelerate business opportunities between the two nations.
The president also praised the 50 years of strong bilateral relations between Malawi and Mozambique, highlighting the importance of continued collaboration to strengthen these ties.
Malawi’s Minister of Trade, Vitumbiko Mumba, applauded the forum for providing a platform for business representatives from both countries to share concerns and build partnerships that can drive mutual economic benefits.
The session brought together senior government officials, private sector leaders, and business experts from both countries.
