Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Hon. Simplex Chithyola Banda, is attending the prestigious 8th Dynamic Leaders and Gatekeepers Forum (DLGF) being held today, June 20, 2025, at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
The high-level forum brings together national leaders and changemakers under the theme “Revitalizing the Economy: Investing in a Stronger and More Sustainable Future.” The 2025 edition is especially timely as Malawi approaches the tripartite elections and seeks bold ideas for economic transformation.
Banda’s participation is expected to be instrumental in discussions around key economic challenges including forex shortages, inflation, food insecurity, civil service reform, and inclusive wealth creation. “As the Minister steering key economic recovery strategies, Banda’s insights will greatly contribute to the forum’s goals,” he said.
The forum also features influential speakers such as Associate Professor Winford Masanjala, Mrs. Allen Catherine Kagina of Uganda, and Reverend Dr. Zacc Kawalala, who will share perspectives on overcoming economic hardship and building national unity.
