VICE PRESIDENT DR. JANE ANSAH LED MALAWIANS DURING REMEMBERANCE DAY

Vice President Dr. Jane Mayemu Ansah on Sunday led Malawians in commemorating Remembrance Day at the War Memorial Tower in Lilongwe.

During commemoration, the nation joined the rest of the world in honouring soldiers who lost their lives during World Wars I and II, as well as those who died while serving in various peacekeeping missions.

The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, including the Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant General George Alexander Jafu; Inspector General of Police, Richard Luhanga; Speaker of Parliament, Sameer Suleman; and Chief Justice Rizine Robert Mzikamanda.

Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah represented President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and led the laying of wreaths in honour of the fallen heroes, paying tribute to their sacrifice and dedication to peace and freedom.
