Lawmaker for Dowa Central Constituency , Annie Chibwana has called Minister of Transport and Public Works Feston Kaupa to consider construction of a bridge at Kanyongo River at Dowa road.
Stood on a supplementary question in parliament on Thursday Chibwana highlighted the challenges that people are facing in the area especially ambulances, those going to hospital, people want to access Banks, students, market and farmers saying the gives fear to many people.
” CDF alone can not do it this bridge need serious attention, and more funding because is a buys road thats why am asking Government to look into it” said Chibwana.
Speaking with the media Minister of transport Feston Kaupa assured Chibwana that DPP is a listening Government and will construct the bridge, and will send the surveys to visit the site.
Chibwana has expressed the satisfaction with the response from the Minister saying their waiting to the Minister to construct the bridge.
The brigde covers morethan 25,000 people.
