WANDERERS WILD CELEBRATIONS AS MPINGANJIRA’S INVESTMENT YIELDS TITLE GLORY

Mighty Wanderers president Thomson Mpinganjira has expressed jubilation after his significant investment in the club paid off, ending an eight-year title drought. The business mogul’s excitement was palpable after the Nomads thromped Moyale Barracks 6-0, coupled with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ draw against Mighty Tigers, virtually sealing the title for Wanderers.

As speaking to the truth online, Mpinganjira said, “I am very happy, so is every Nomad. It shows money has been well spent. We’ve made good progress and the mission to make Mighty mighty again has been successfully completed.”

Mpinganjira also hailed the decision to retain Bob Mpinganjira as head coach, despite internal resistance. “I had to fight people over Bob as head coach. I feel vindicated now,” he said.

Coach Bob Mpinganjira expressed relief, saying, “I feel relieved to have met the league target, especially for the president, the fans, and the entire Nomads family. This is a timely Christmas present to them.”

The club’s assistant vice-captain Felix Zulu echoed similar sentiments, “We deserved it. We fought all the way with the backing of the president, the board, management, and the fans.”

The Nomads top the table with 68 points, five ahead of Bullets, with one game to go. The team’s next focus is retaining the title next season.
