CAREER DAY INSPIRES YOUNG LEARNERS AT TIPOLISO NURSERY SCHOOL IN ZOMBA

The Executive Director of Tikondane Positive Living Support Organisation (TIPOLISO), Sellina Bomani, has emphasized that hosting Career Day in nursery schools helps inspire academic motivation and nurtures ambition among young learners.

Speaking during Career Day celebrations at Star Nursery School under TIPOLISO in Sadzi, Zomba, Bomani highlighted the value of introducing children to career goals early in life.

“Career Day is important because it helps guide nursery school learners towards their future careers, motivating them to work hard to achieve their goals,” said Bomani.

She also urged parents to send their children to nursery school, noting that early childhood education builds a strong foundation in knowledge and critical thinking, which is essential for success in primary education and beyond.

Cecilia Golden Kasunje, a nurse at Zomba Central Hospital, echoed Bomani’s sentiments, stating that Career Day provides learners with a clear picture of their aspirations and encourages them to dream big.

She also encouraged parents and guardians to be supportive of their children’s ambitions.

One of the parents, Trudeth Matemba, thanked TIPOLISO for organizing the event. She shared how the experience had ignited her children’s interest in their future careers.

“This event has motivated my child, and I will do everything I can to support their dreams,” said Matemba.

The event showcased various professions, aiming to inspire nursery learners to start envisioning their future careers from an early age.
