Independent candidate for Zomba Chingale, Biziwick Million, has pledged to continue developing the constituency if re-elected in the September 16 general elections.
Million, who won the 2021 by-election as an independent following the death of then-MP John Chikalimba, later joined the United Transformation Movement (UTM) during his tenure.
He cited several development projects initiated under his leadership, including the construction of bridges, roads, and a health facility.
“Before I came in, people were struggling to access fertilizer, often spending nights at Thondwe Market. Now, they are able to buy it within the constituency,” said Million.
He also highlighted economic empowerment initiatives, noting that over 4,500 groups have received loans during his time in office—helping many households achieve economic independence.
In random interviews, several constituents expressed satisfaction with Million’s leadership and said they are prepared to vote for him again on September 16.
