NDP’S LISIMBA MPOKOSA PLEDGES DEVELOPMENT, FERTILIZER REFORM IN ZOMBA MALOSA

The National Development Party (NDP) parliamentary aspirant for Zomba Malosa Constituency, Dr. Chikondi Lisimba Mpokosa, has unveiled her manifesto to traditional leaders and residents from the area of Senior Group Village Headman Machinjiri and surrounding communities.

Speaking at Lufani Primary School in Senior Chief Malemia’s area, Dr. Lisimba Mpokosa outlined her development agenda ahead of the September 16 elections. She promised to focus on tangible improvements such as the construction of school blocks, health centres, and programs aimed at empowering youth and women.

She also pledged to improve access to clean water and ensure that health centres in the area are adequately stocked with medicine.

On food security, Lisimba Mpokosa announced plans to promote irrigation farming, enabling communities to harvest crops three times a year. She said this would help ensure year-round food supply and better nutrition for families.

Lisimba Mpokosa, who is also the NDP’s vice president and running mate to presidential candidate Frank Mwenifumbo, said her party would work to reduce fertilizer prices and promote local production once elected into government.

“Our country is not developing economically because people elected into office lack vision and only enrich themselves. This time, let’s vote for NDP to address the challenges we are facing,” she told the gathering.

She urged residents of Zomba Malosa to vote for her and for Mwenifumbo to bring economic transformation and end chronic hunger in the area.

During the event, youth representative Chrissy Mbirintengerenji expressed support for Lisimba Mpokosa, citing her clear development agenda.

“I will vote for Dr. Lisimba Mpokosa because of her promising plans for Zomba Malosa,” she said, urging fellow youth to attend political rallies and listen to candidates’ proposals to make informed choices.
