President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has delegated his first vice president Dr. Jane Ansah to lead the malawian delegation at the 7th African Union-European Union Summit and the Extraordinary African Union Summit in Luanda, Angola, under the thame “Promoting peace and prosperity through effective multilateralism.”
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 21 November 2025, the summits will deliberate on strengthening cooperation across key area including peace, security, governance, multilateralism prosperity, people-centred development migration, and mobility.
According to the statement, the Vice President is scheduled to depart from Kamuzu International Airport on Sunday 22 November 2025 and is expected to return on Friday 28 November 2025 through the same airport.
