EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR PAYS COURTESY CALL ON MINISTER MATHANGA

Egyptian Ambassador to Malawi, Rasha Hamdy, on Wednesday paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining, Honourable Dr Jean Mathanga, MP.

The discussions centred on how the two countries can work together to improve the mining and energy sectors.

Dr Mathanga commended Egypt for being a partner to Malawi and highlighted the mining and energy sectors as national priorities for unlocking economic growth.

“I am happy that Egypt is actively strengthening its bilateral relations with Malawi, with a strong focus on cooperation and technical support in the energy and mining sectors,” said the Minister.

On her part, Ambassador Hamdy said the two countries discussed many areas of cooperation, including energy and mining, as well as ways to boost bilateral relations.
