PACIFIC BOREHOLE REHABILITATION TRANSFORMS ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER

For more than fifteen years, Pacific Company has been carrying out borehole rehabilitation projects across the country, a move that has significantly improved access to safe and clean drinking water for many communities.

Minister of Finance, Joseph Mwanamvekha, said the initiative has contributed greatly to the country’s progress in achieving key development goals.

He noted that improved water access plays an essential role in national growth.

“I would like to take this opportunity to commend Pacific Company for helping people in this country, especially girls and women, who previously had to walk long distances to fetch water or rely on unsafe sources,” said Mwanamvekha.

Pacific Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Faisal Aboo, stated that the company remains committed to supporting rural communities by ensuring they have easier access to clean drinking water.

Aboo explained that the main objective is to promote healthier lives among citizens so they can actively engage in various economic and social activities aimed at improving their livelihoods.

Pacific Company began its borehole rehabilitation program in 2015, and to date, it has successfully repaired more than 9,000 damaged boreholes across the country, marking a significant milestone in its mission to enhance water accessibility.
