ZOMBA CHANGALUME MP HAILS CHAKWERA FOR CONSTITUENCY DEVELOPMENTS

Member of Parliament for Zomba Changalume, Bizwick Million, has applauded President Lazarus Chakwera for the notable developments in his constituency, highlighting significant improvements in education and healthcare infrastructure.

Speaking in Parliament during the debate on the State of the Nation Address (SONA) yesterday, Million expressed gratitude for the president’s commitment to uplifting communities in Zomba Changalume.

“I really appreciate the president for the three modern secondary schools which have been constructed in my constituency—Namadidi Secondary, Mswaswa Secondary, and Maera Secondary,” Million said.

He also commended the government for facilitating the construction of Namadidi Clinic through the Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) initiative, noting that between 11 to 12 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects have been implemented.

Million further praised Chakwera for increasing the CDF allocation from 40 million to 200 million kwacha, citing the boost as a key enabler for more infrastructure projects.

“When I was joining politics, the CDF was 40 million, which was not enough. I appreciate the president because when he heard our request, he increased it to 200 million, which has really helped us construct many projects,” he added.

The MP’s remarks underscore the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance development across Malawi’s constituencies.
