ATUPELE MULUZI UNVEILS “BUSINESS FIRST” STRATEGY AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi says he has spent the past few months engaging with Malawians and has developed a new strategy to revive the country’s economy.

Dubbed “Business First,” the strategy focuses on empowering citizens rather than controlling them. Muluzi believes it has the potential to transform Malawi’s economic landscape.

“I will make it easier to do business by removing barriers to trade and tourism, scrapping landing fees, offering visas on arrival, and enforcing a 30-day rule for permits and licenses,” Muluzi stated on his Facebook page.

He also emphasized a zero-tolerance approach to corruption and outlined plans for strict civil service reforms.

Muluzi, who was elected unopposed at the UDF’s convention last year, has recently been touring the country promoting his party’s vision for national transformation.

His announcement comes just months before Malawians head to the polls in September.
