The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Daniel Francisco Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique, will undertake a two-day official visit to Malawi from June 5 to 6, 2025.
The visit aims to strengthen diplomatic relations between Malawi and Mozambique as the two nations celebrate 50 years of cooperation and shared prosperity.
During his stay, President Chapo will hold bilateral talks with President Lazarus Chakwera, focusing on deepening and consolidating the longstanding ties between the two countries.
A key highlight of the visit will be the joint launch of the Dedza/Calomué One-Stop Border Post in Dedza a major step forward in cross-border cooperation and trade facilitation. This initiative is expected to significantly boost trade and economic activity between Malawi and Mozambique.
