PASSION CENTER MARKS 20 YEARS OF TRANSFORMING LIVES IN MALAWI

Passion Center for the Children, a faith-based organization, has celebrated its 20th anniversary in Malawi, marking two decades of life-changing development work across the country.

Over the years, the organization has provided clean water, constructed decent housing for vulnerable children, trained youths in vocational skills, and paid school fees for underprivileged students.

Speaking at the commemoration event held at Mulunguzi Primary School grounds in Zomba, National Coordinator Pastor Pilira Chibwana highlighted the organization’s major milestones. He revealed that more than 1,500 beneficiaries have gone on to become professionals such as doctors, nurses, teachers, and carpenters. Additionally, the organization has provided safe water to over 300,000 people and built houses for many in need.

To mark the celebration, Passion Center donated 50 desks to Mulunguzi Primary School as part of its ongoing support for education.

Representing the Zomba District Commissioner Thomas Mbwembwe, the Guest of Honor commended the organization’s outstanding contributions, noting how its efforts align with government initiatives to uplift communities.

Pastor Eric Von Sythoff, President of Passion Center from the United States, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to Malawi, praising the dedication of local staff.

Traditional Authority Mwambo also expressed gratitude, highlighting the impact of clean water provision and the organization’s broader contribution to community development. She emphasized that the continued collaboration between Passion Center, the government, and local leaders promises long-term benefits for the region.
