The highly anticipated Chakwera Music Challenge Grand Finale will take place on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, at Malawi Square, BICC in Lilongwe, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The grand event will feature live performances from the Top 14 contestants, with five winners each walking away with MK5 million in prize money.
Launched earlier this year, the challenge has brought together young, talented artists from across Malawi, shining a spotlight on the nation’s vibrant music industry while promoting artistic expression that fosters unity and national development.
To add more excitement, the programme will include an open dance competition, jam sessions with top DJs, and other special performances. The event will be hosted by celebrated artist and MC Annie Matumbi.
Speaking ahead of the finale, event coordinator Yamikani Chinguwo said:
“We are proud to have reached this stage as we prepare to crown five deserving winners. It’s going to be a day of great entertainment, big sounds, and life-changing prizes.”
The Chakwera Music Challenge Grand Finale promises to be a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, and Malawian pride, under the theme:
“Big Stage. Big Sound. Big Winners.”
