Sister Teresa Francis Mulenga of the Teresian Sisters Congregation on Saturday celebrated her Silver Jubilee of religious life with a thanksgiving Mass held at her home village in Traditional Authority Namadidi, Zomba Diocese.
The celebration, themed “Do to others what you would like them to do to you, do good always, and never grow tired of doing what is right,” drew attendance from fellow sisters of various congregations, Bishop Alfred Mateyu Chaima of Zomba Diocese, and several priests who joined in the joyous occasion.
In her remarks, Sister Mulenga expressed gratitude to God for His continued blessings in her life. She also thanked Bishop Chaima for gracing the event, her parents for supporting her vocation, and the Provincial Superior together with her fellow sisters for their love and encouragement throughout her journey.

“I don’t have much to say, only joy that I’ve reached 25 years of serving God. All I can say is thank you,” Sister Mulenga said, asking Christians and friends to continue praying for her so she may remain faithful in her service.
Bishop Chaima commended Sister Mulenga for her humility and impactful work, particularly in environmental care and in empowering women by teaching them soap and fertilizer production to achieve economic independence.
He further thanked her parents for allowing her to serve God through the Teresian Sisters Congregation and urged other families to guide their children to consider priesthood, sisterhood, or brotherhood as a noble calling.
