He made the remarks on Wednesday during a press briefing at Crown Hotel in Lilongwe.
He also commended former president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for nomination of Simplex Chithyola Banda as leader of opposition in parliament saying it is a sign of reshaping leadership landscape of Malawi Parliament.
“We commend president Mutharika for his bold move in entrusting leadership roles to capable individuals who will drive the country’s agenda forward”, said Malata.
The group also hailed Mutharika for the powerful State of National Address (SONA) presented during official opening of 52nd Session of Parliament and 2025/2026 mid-year budget review meeting at parliament building in Lilongwe.
“The dust has settled on the SONA, and one thing that is clear is that President Mutharika has reignited the spark of hope and unity that has long defined our great nation”, he added.
