Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has described the awards he continues to receive as a strong affirmation of the impact of his charity initiatives and social empowerment programmes across the region.
On Wednesday, Prophet Bushiri was named Best Philanthropist at the Zikomo Africa Awards, a regional ceremony held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, which recognizes outstanding contributions in various sectors.
The award marks the second major recognition for Bushiri within a week, following his receipt of a Humanitarian Award at the Maso Awards ceremony held last Saturday.
Speaking after the Zikomo Africa Awards, Bushiri expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying it has motivated him to expand and deepen his philanthropic work in the coming years.
“I am truly grateful that this work is being acknowledged across Africa. As we look ahead, we are even more motivated to do greater and more impactful work in 2026,” he said.
Bushiri also commended the organizers of the Zikomo Africa Awards for their professionalism and the high standard of the event’s execution.
He disclosed that he has instructed his management team to engage the award organizers to explore a possible collaboration, including the prospect of hosting next year’s ceremony at Goshen City in Mangochi.
In a related development, Prophet Bushiri has also sponsored the Film Association of Malawi Awards and Gala event with K100 million through his Goshen City initiative, further reinforcing his commitment to supporting creative industries and social development in Malawi.
