KALIPANO HOTEL LAUNCHES INCLUSIVE TOURISM DRIVE WITH “CHILEMBWE WEEK”

Kalipano Hotel has announced an ambitious plan to set a national example by making its facilities accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic status.

The hotel says it wants to create an environment where all Malawians can visit and enjoy tourism services without feeling excluded because of cost.

Speaking to the media, Kalipano Hotel’s Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Kondwani Nyamasauka, said tourist destinations should be open and welcoming to all citizens.

Nyamasauka explained that accessibility in tourism allows people to enjoy leisure experiences according to what they can afford, while still feeling valued.

He made the remarks on Thursday during the official launch of a special cultural promotion dubbed “Chilembwe Week.”

The week-long event is designed to celebrate local culture through food and drinks that reflect Malawi’s heritage.
According to Nyamasauka, from 15 to 18 January, guests at Kalipano Hotel will be served a variety of traditional foods and beverages.

These include local juice made from gondolosi, thobwa, kachasu, masese, ziwala, nandolo, denje, kalongonda, and other indigenous delicacies.
