MUSLIMS IN MANGOCHI PRAY FOR ABUNDANT AND BLESSED RAINS IN MALAWI

Muslims in Mangochi have appealed to God to bless Malawi with abundant and favorable rains that will lead to increased agricultural production while avoiding disasters such as flooding.

The prayers were made during a special gathering held earlier today, where Muslims in the district came together to ask God to intervene following the prolonged dry spell that has affected many parts of the country.

The faithful prayed that the rains should come at the right time and in the right amounts, so that farmers can harvest good yields and the country can achieve food security without suffering weather-related damage.
Second Deputy Religious Advisor to the Head of State, Sheikh Ismael Mtiko, attended the prayers and commended the Muslim community for responding in large numbers to the call for national prayers.

Sheikh Mtiko said the gathering demonstrated unity and obedience among religious groups after President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika asked faith leaders to guide their followers in praying for rain.

He emphasized that such prayers are important in seeking God’s guidance and protection, especially during challenging times when the nation is facing climatic difficulties.

Leader of the United Democratic Front (UDF), Atupele Muluzi, was also present at the prayers, showing support for the religious initiative and solidarity with the Muslim community.
Meanwhile, Muslims across the country also offered special prayers during their Friday congregational prayers, collectively asking God to send good and life-sustaining rains to Malawi.
