The Beautify Malawi (BEAM) Trust has today donated food items to 500 households in M’buka, Lilongwe, who lost their property during heavy storms.
Each family received two 10kg bags of maize flour, five packets of soya pieces, and salt.
Member of Parliament for the area Lincoln Liwonde thanked BEAM Trust for the support, noting that it arrived at a critical time when people needed assistance the most.
“I am so grateful for the food support provided to our people affected by the rainstorms.
This, too, is part of making our country beautiful. Regarding sanitation and hygiene, I am fully committed to anything that saves lives through public health. I am proud to support BEAM as it champions sanitation and health within our communities,” Liwonde said.
Chairperson of BEAM Trust Dingiswayo Jere said BEAM remains fully committed to improving the environment and the well-being of all Malawians.
