Police and community members in the area of Senior Chief Malemia in Zomba district are continuing to search for a 10-year-old Standard 1 pupil who has been reported missing from Msambainsa Primary School.
According to one of the school’s teachers, Blessings Chibwana, the boy has been identified as Ikra Ayam, from Adisi Village, and is a Standard 1 learner at the school.
Ikra is described as short and slim, with a dark complexion.
At the time he went missing, he was reportedly wearing a cream-white T-shirt with orange markings around the neck and cream-white shorts.
The matter has been reported to the police and local traditional authorities, who are assisting the family and community in efforts to locate the missing child.
Members of the public are being urged to remain vigilant and provide any information that may help authorities locate Ikra and ensure his safe return home.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to report it to the nearest police station, traditional authority or other relevant authorities.
