The Ministry of Gender, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has called on the Zomba Gender Technical Working Group (TWG) to collaborate in spreading information on gender issues and immunization.
During a one-day workshop supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), Principal and Development Officer Francis Chitenje stressed the importance of joint efforts in reaching communities with accurate and engaging messages.
“Civic education on vaccination is a collective responsibility, and we urge all stakeholders to amplify these messages,” Chitenje said, expressing confidence that the training would strengthen the partnership between the Gender TWG and the Ministry of Health.
He noted that collaborative efforts empower individuals to actively participate in development activities within their communities.
Ruperth Kamtsendero from the Zomba District Council praised the training, emphasizing its relevance and the value of cooperation in promoting vaccine awareness.
Emma Nkwinika from Maternity Worldwide also commended the session, describing it as timely and insightful, particularly in addressing gender and immunization concerns.
The call for collaboration highlights the critical role of unified action in promoting education and awareness on key community issues.
