Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo has arrived in Malawi for a two-day official visit—his first since assuming office. He was received at Kamuzu International Airport by Malawi’s Vice President Dr. Michael Usi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo, and other senior officials.
President Chapo will hold bilateral talks with President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, focusing on strengthening ties between the two countries.
The visit will include the signing of key agreements, such as the Air Service Agreement, aimed at improving air transport and connectivity.
The two leaders will also inaugurate the Dedza/Calomue One-Stop Border Post, a strategic move to enhance trade and cross-border cooperation.
President Chapo’s visit underscores a commitment to deepening diplomatic relations and promoting shared prosperity and development between Malawi and Mozambique.
