ORGANISING COMMITTEE OUTLINES INAUGURATION PLANS FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT MUTHARIKA

The organising committee for President-Elect Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has briefed the media on preparations for his swearing-in and inauguration ceremony, set to take place this Saturday, October 4.

Speaking at a press conference held at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre, committee chairperson Dr. Jean Mathanga confirmed that the event will be staged at Kamuzu Stadium under the theme “Great Return to Proven Leadership.”

Dr. Mathanga emphasized that the inauguration is expected to draw widespread national attention and symbolises a new chapter of leadership for the country. She further revealed that the list of invited dignitaries, including former presidents and other high-profile guests, will be announced in the course of the week.

The ceremony will see both the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect officially sworn into office, marking the formal transition of power. According to the committee, meticulous arrangements are being made to ensure that the event proceeds smoothly and reflects the significance of the moment.
