Parliament of Malawi has today confirms the name of Richard Luhanga as new Inspector General of Malawi Police.
The confirmation following the appointment by the State President Prof Arthur Peter Mutharika.
In his opposition spokesperson in Parliament Joshua Malango said opposition Malawi Congress Party joined government in supporting Luhanga on his new role as inspector general.
He described Luhanga as well educated and experienced.
Malango said opposition expects that he will be inspector general of all.
“We want him to work profession by respecting the rule of law and be non partisan”, said Malango
