VP LAUNCHES PUBLIC SECTOR REFORMS INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

First Vice President Dr Jane Ansah has launched the Public Sector Reforms Information Management System in Lilongwe, calling on Ministries, Departments and Agencies to embrace the platform wholeheartedly to enhance public service delivery and better serve citizens.

The Vice President says the newly launched system will strengthen transparency and provide the public with timely information on the progress of reforms being implemented by various MDAs.

Dr Ansah states that with the system running, the public will be able to appreciate reform progress by accessing the platform on digital devices and receiving assistance in an efficient manner.

She believes the system will address long-standing complaints Malawians have faced under the paper-based system, describing the digital platform as a strategic tool for enhancing public service delivery.

Chief Secretary to the Government, Justin Saidi, says the Public Sector Reforms Information Management System is specifically designed to respond to the evolving needs of Malawians.

Saidi notes that for a long time, Malawi has lacked a centralised system capable of fostering transparency and accountability in public sector reforms.

He observes that the new system fills this critical gap and positions government institutions to manage reforms more effectively.

Saidi further describes the system as a game-changer for the management of reforms and development contracts in a modern, structured and accessible manner.
