EVERLASTING LIFE MINISTRY INTERNATIONAL EMPOWERS WOMEN WITH BAKING BUSINESS SKILLS

Everlasting Life Ministry International leader in Malawi, Apostle James Chikopa, emphasized the importance of training women in baking business skills to empower them economically. Speaking in Zomba, where the church conducted a workshop, women were trained in baking biscuits, egg pies, scones, and cakes to help improve their household incomes and overall livelihoods.

Apostle Chikopa highlighted that the church’s mission extends beyond spiritual teachings, stressing the need to equip women with practical skills and knowledge. He encouraged participants to form savings and loan groups to foster a culture of saving.

“The church should not only teach the word of God but also care for its faithful by empowering them economically,” Chikopa stated. He urged the women to organize cooperatives, promising that the church would provide start-up capital for various enterprises.

Chikopa also advised women to utilize their newly acquired skills effectively and urged them to respect and support their husbands even as they succeed in business. “It’s important to see women become economically self-reliant. As a church, we will provide them with start-up capital,” he added.

Mukire Rachel Mhango, speaking on behalf of the women, expressed gratitude to the Everlasting Life Ministry International for empowering them with baking skills. She noted that the training would enable them to venture into businesses and achieve economic empowerment.

This baking skills training marks the third such initiative by the ministry, which has previously trained women in soap and fertilizer making.
