PRESIDENT CHAKWERA COMMENDS M1 ROAD PROGRESS AND REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

President Lazarus Chakwera has praised the ongoing construction of the M1 Road to Mzuzu, highlighting the impressive progress made under the leadership of Minister of Transport and Public Works, Jacob Hara. The President made these remarks during a brief stop at Mtengowanthenga on his journey to Mzuzu for official duties.

Expressing his satisfaction with the roadworks, President Chakwera emphasized the importance of local community involvement in maintaining the new infrastructure.

He assured the residents of Dowa that his administration is dedicated to ensuring that development projects benefit all regions across the country.

Deputy Minister of Health Halima Daudi, who is also the Member of Parliament for the area, echoed the President’s sentiments. She lauded the ongoing M1 Road construction, which she described as transforming a once hazardous route into a crucial and safer transportation link.

In addition to the road project, Daudi praised President Chakwera for launching the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) loans, aimed at enhancing financial stability among the youth.

She also commended the President for his focus on improving health services, noting that the establishment of new health posts is significantly reducing congestion in district hospitals.
