The Malawi National Assembly has announced that the mid-year budget review meeting for the 2024/2025 fiscal year will begin on Monday, November 25, and conclude on Friday, December 20, 2024. According to a press release from the Office of the Speaker, this session, which will take place in the Parliament Chamber in Lilongwe, is the sixth meeting in the ongoing 50th parliamentary session.
The Assembly urges all Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Members of Parliament, and the public to note the meeting dates. During this session, members are expected to review and adjust the current MK5.99 trillion budget, including reallocation and potential increases in funding where necessary.
