Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Jessie Kabwila, has urged graduates from Nalikule College of Education to apply their knowledge to drive progress in Malawi’s labor market and contribute to the nation’s 2063 vision.
Speaking at the college’s 4th Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, where 170 students received Diplomas and Degrees in various disciplines, Dr. Kabwila emphasized the graduates’ crucial role in national development.
“Go and shine in the labor industry. You are the real implementers of the Malawi 2063 vision. The knowledge you’ve gained will help the government achieve these goals,” she said.
Dr. Kabwila further highlighted that education is key to meeting Malawi’s development aspirations.
College Principal Mrs. Elizabeth Selemani Meke encouraged graduates to face future challenges with confidence and integrity. “This is not just the end of your studies but the beginning of your professional journey. Be lifelong learners and leaders in education,” she advised.
Reflecting on her experience, graduate Tracy Sainani expressed gratitude for the knowledge gained and friendships formed during her studies. “We are ready to inspire, educate, and make a difference in our communities,” she said.
The ceremony, attended by senior officials including Director of Higher Education Dr. Levis Eneya and Director of Teacher Education Development Dr. Zizwa Msukuma, celebrated the graduates’ achievements and their readiness to impact the education sector and beyond.
