MPS CONCLUDE BUDGET ALLOCATIONS REVIEW

Members of Parliament have completed reviewing allocations for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the 2025/2026 national budget.

Following the budget statement presented by Finance Minister Simplex Chithyola Banda, MPs spent the past two weeks in cluster committees assessing the allocations.

Parliament will resume on Monday, March 17, 2025, with responses from opposition spokespersons and the budget committee, followed by a general debate on the budget statement.

The Committee of Supply is scheduled to run from March 25 to 28, while other outstanding matters will be discussed from March 31 to April 11. The session is set to adjourn sine die on April 11, 2025.

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera officially opened the 2025/2026 budget session on February 14.
