The Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) has urged the public to be cautious of false information circulating about President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s travel plans.
OPC spokesperson Robert Kalindiza clarified that a document circulating on social media, allegedly from the OPC and claiming the President is set to travel to Italy, is fake.
Kalindiza emphasized that any official communication about the President’s international travel comes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He assured the public that should any travel plans be made, the nation will be officially informed.
“It’s very dangerous to spread fake and unnecessary information,” he said, stressing the importance of respecting the President and the nation’s leadership.
The public is encouraged to rely on official channels for accurate information and remain vigilant against misinformation.
