BISHOP URGES NEW SISTERS TO SERVE WITH FAITH AND DEDICATION

Bishop Alfred Mateyu Chaima of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba has called on three newly professed Catholic Religious Sisters to rely on God as they begin their mission in the Church.

The sisters — Stelia Victor, Maria Mwanduza, and Stella Kalumbi — from the Daughters of Wisdom Congregation, took their Final Profession of Religious Vows during a ceremony held at St. Mary’s Secondary School in Zomba under the theme “Remain in Me.”

Bishop Chaima encouraged them to serve with honesty, faithfulness, and commitment, reminding them that their vows are a lifelong dedication to God. He urged them to lead by example, inspire others, and help bring back those who have gone astray.

He also thanked the parents for supporting their daughters’ calling and encouraged other families to do the same, emphasizing the importance of prayer and seeking God’s mercy.

“Life is a gift from God. You must pray and ask for His mercy so that He may bless and strengthen you in your work,” said the bishop.

Provincial Superior of the Daughters of Wisdom, Sister Mary Chimalizeni, expressed joy over the new professions and encouraged aspiring young women to work hard and stay prayerful to achieve their religious goals.

Sister Stelia Victor thanked God for His guidance and said Bishop Chaima’s words would inspire them to serve with love and devotion.
