MBC PROMISES TRANSFORMATION AND IMPROVED SERVICE TO MALAWIANS

Acting Director General of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), Moses Chiwoni, says Malawians should expect a transformed public broadcaster.

Chiwoni said the renewed MBC will be committed to serving the public with improved news coverage and enhanced programming.

He made the remarks at MBC’s Kwacha Studios in Blantyre during the unveiling of his vision for the state broadcaster.

Chiwoni explained that the transformation of MBC will be driven by teamwork and a shared sense of purpose among staff.

He said collaboration within the institution is key to repositioning MBC as a strong and credible public broadcaster.

Chiwoni noted that MBC remains one of the country’s leading media institutions with the capacity to deliver quality content.

He said the broadcaster is well placed to inform, educate and serve the interests of Malawians across the country.

He added that strengthening news delivery and enhancing programming will be central to MBC’s renewed focus as it fulfills its mandate as a national public service broadcaster.
