Action Hope Malawi has donated reflector jackets and other security equipment to Thondwe Community Policing through Thondwe Police Station, in a move aimed at strengthening community safety initiatives.
Receiving the donation, Officer-in-Charge for Thondwe Police Station, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mackenzie Chingumula, praised the strong partnership that exists between the police, community policing members, and Action Hope Malawi.
Chingumula expressed gratitude to Action Hope Malawi for the timely support and called upon other organizations to emulate the gesture by assisting Thondwe Community Policing with additional security equipment.
Speaking during the handover, Action Hope Malawi Executive Director, Sammy Aaron, said the donation was motivated by the organization’s good working relationship with the Malawi Police Service and Thondwe Community Policing structures.
Aaron assured stakeholders that Action Hope Malawi remains committed to supporting community policing initiatives through the provision of essential security materials.
