High Court Judge Fiona Mwale has encouraged girls not to look down on themselves, saying they are equally capable of achieving what boys can do and more.
Mwale made the remarks on Friday when she graced an open day event at Lilongwe Girls Secondary School, where students showcased various science projects.
Head teacher for the school, Loyce Kuntamula, said promoting girls in science-related fields is important as it helps prepare them for better opportunities in their future careers.
One of the students, Naloli Lungu, also encouraged her fellow girls to make use of resources available to innovate and implement their ideas, emphasizing that girls can also excel in science.
During the event, the girls showcased projects such as a greenhouse, rainwater harvesting systems, a chicken brooder, and soap-making processes, among others.
