DOWA MNDOLERA MP KENDALL KAMWENDO ROLLS OUT ROAD REHABILITATION DRIVE

Dowa Mndolera Member of Parliament Kendall Kamwendo has launched a road rehabilitation programme aimed at improving connectivity and supporting socio-economic development across the constituency.

Kamwendo said the initiative forms part of his commitment to fulfilling promises made to constituents during the campaign period, emphasizing that improved road infrastructure remains a key pillar in driving development and improving livelihoods.

According to the legislator, the decision to prioritize road maintenance was informed by the understanding that access to quality roads is essential for the successful implementation of development projects and the efficient movement of people, goods, and services.

The rehabilitation exercise has already commenced on the road stretching from Nameili through Mwachiswa to Mwimba. Kamwendo said the project is expected to enhance accessibility for residents, farmers, and traders who rely on the route for their daily economic activities.

He further disclosed that works on the Dzoole Turnoff–Dzoole–Mlengwe road are set to begin in the near future as part of a broader plan to upgrade several roads across the constituency.

Residents are expected to benefit from improved transportation networks, which are anticipated to ease travel challenges, facilitate access to markets and essential services, and contribute to the overall development of the area.

The road rehabilitation programme marks one of the latest infrastructure initiatives being undertaken in Dowa Mndolera as local leaders continue to focus on projects aimed at transforming communities and improving living standards.
