FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach, Peter Mponda, has expressed doubts about his team’s chances of winning the Super League title, despite being in contention. Speaking after a goalless draw against Mighty Tigers, Mponda wondered if his players have what it takes to lift the trophy.
“Everyone thinks we’ll win everything, but let’s see if the boys are up to it,” Mponda said, acknowledging the surprise in some quarters. He praised his team’s efforts but hinted at areas needing improvement, including potential player acquisitions.
This isn’t the first time Mponda’s voiced concerns; he’s consistently pointed to Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers as stronger contenders. Bullets currently trail leaders Mighty Wanderers by five points, with one game left to play.
