Member of Parliament for Kasungu East Constituency, Alex Felix Nkhoma, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former MP Madalitso Fred Kazombo, saying he is personally affected by the loss.
Nkhoma said he shared ideas and visions with the late Kazombo on how to advance development in the constituency.
He described Kazombo as a dedicated public servant who worked selflessly for the people and held no grudges against anyone, including those with differing political views.
Nkhoma has called on people of the constituency to honor Kazombo’s legacy by safeguarding and maintaining the development projects he initiated during his time as MP.
Meanwhile, a former colleague who worked with Kazombo as a chairperson of a local development committee, Jamu Binali, said Kazombo played a key role in the construction of Kapyanga Health Centre, bridges, the Chamama Market, and also supported the underprivileged in the area.
Madalitso Fred Kazombo, who died yesterday in Lilongwe, served as Member of Parliament for Kasungu East Constituency from 2014 to 2025. Until recently, he was serving as the First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
