HICHILEMA URGES NEW CABINET MINISTERS TO SERVE ALL ZAMBIANS WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has urged newly sworn-in Cabinet and Provincial Ministers to serve all citizens without discrimination, stressing the need for equitable development across the country.

Hichilema made the remarks following the swearing-in ceremony for the ministers, whom he said had been entrusted with the responsibility of advancing the government’s Grow Zambia agenda.

The President said his government had a duty to ensure that development reaches all Zambians, regardless of their background or location, adding that the restructuring and alignment of ministries were intended to improve government operations and service delivery.

He further challenged the newly appointed ministers to discharge their responsibilities with integrity and humility, emphasising that public office should be treated as a privilege to serve the people.

Hichilema congratulated the appointees, reminding them that their appointments came with the responsibility to demonstrate commitment through hard work and ensure that ordinary Zambians begin to experience the benefits of the government’s development agenda.
