CTS COURIER EXPANSION TO CREATE MORE JOBS, SAYS LILONGWE MAYOR

Lilongwe City Mayor Peter Alex Banda says the expansion of CTS Courier’s branch network will help create employment opportunities for young people while stimulating economic growth.

Banda made the remarks in Area 25 during the launch of the company’s Dzeza and Bypass branches, noting that bringing courier services closer to communities will ease parcel delivery and reduce customers’ transport expenses.

CTS Head of Communications, PR and Events, Mike Kalumbi, said the two branches were established in response to customer demands for services within their communities.

He said the expansion falls under the company’s CTS Pakwanu Pompo initiative, which aims to take courier services closer to people in different communities across the country’s cities while supporting job creation.

CTS Courier currently has 36 branches across four cities and targets to increase the number to 40, with its workforce expected to exceed 300 employees by December 2026.
