THYOLO — Today marks a historic day for Malawi as the national women’s football team, the Scorchers, take on Cameroon in the WAFCON Final in Morocco.
Member of Parliament for Thyolo Central Constituency Ben Phiri has organised a special watching party at Thyolo Stadium, giving constituents an opportunity to come together, rally behind the national team and witness the historic final.
The event is expected to bring Malawians together in a spirit of national pride as the Scorchers battle Cameroon for continental glory.
Phiri expressed unwavering support for the team, describing the occasion as a proud and defining moment for Malawi.
“Today is a big day in the history of sports! We stand firmly behind our beloved Scorchers as they take on Cameroon in the WAFCON Final in Morocco. What a moment for Malawi!” Phori said.
The MP also wished the Scorchers success as they fight to bring the WAFCON title home.
“Wishing Scorchers the very best as they battle for glory. Bring it home,” the MP added.
