CONGOLESE ARRESTED FOR HOUSE BREAKING, T
Police in Dowa have arrested a 32 year old Congolese National Amede Amisi for house breaking and theft at Dzaleka Refugees Camp.
Deputy Public Relations Dowa Police Station Constable Blessings Nyirenda has confirmed about the incident.
Nyirenda said on Tuesday ,21 July, 2026 at around 14:00 hours, Amisi broke into the house of Bleze Lundo in Dzaleka where he stole a mattress and solar panel.
He added that at the time, Lundo was away attending a funeral ceremony when he got a call from his neighbour that his house had been broken into by the suspect and that they had already caught and handed him to Dzaleka Police Unit.
“When interrogated by the police, Amisi admitted to house breaking and theft. He further led officers to the crime scene where he demonstrated how he had gained entry through the window.”, The publicist explained
Amisi will appear in court soon to answer the charges of house breaking and theft.
