Malawian rap star Gwamba, popularly known as “Landlord,” is set to host his highly anticipated Landlord Pakwao Concert on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
The event will feature Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ruger as the international headline act. The singer arrived in Malawi on Friday through Kamuzu International Airport, where he was welcomed by fellow musicians, including Kell Kay, Zeze Kingston, Charisma, members of the organizing team, and excited fans.
Powered by Goshen City, the concert has generated significant excitement, with organizers describing it as one of the country’s biggest entertainment events of the year.
Gates will open at 12:00 noon, while performances begin at 4:00 p.m. with Bandera, Chezmo, Zonke, and Loiso. Other performers include Miracle Chinga, Casino, Airfest & Kineo, Charisma, Teddy Makadi, Malinga, Saint, Eli Njuchi, Kell Kay, and Gwamba, who will headline the event.
Ruger is scheduled to perform between midnight and 1:00 a.m., followed by Joe Ikon. Zeze Kingston, Ndaka Manene, and Ayatolelepo Zeze Yo will close the show from 2:00 a.m.
Organizers say ticket sales have been strong, with all 300 VIP tickets priced at K300,000 already sold out. Remaining tickets include VVIP tables for 10 at K5 million, Early Bird tickets at K50,000, and standard tickets at K60,000 on the day of the event.
With Gwamba serving as the owner, host, and headline performer, the Landlord Pakwao Concert is expected to further strengthen his brand while showcasing Malawi’s growing capacity to host major international entertainment events.
