Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) Malawian alumni have officially launched their national chapter in Lilongwe, marking a new platform for professionals trained by the institution to collaborate and contribute to Malawi’s development.
The chapter was launched during a ceremony held in Lilongwe on Friday, bringing together ESAMI alumni and officials to strengthen professional networks and promote cooperation among members.
Speaking during the ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Technology Shadric Namalomba urged the alumni to uphold integrity in their professional and public responsibilities.
Namalomba said the newly established chapter should serve as a platform where members can exchange ideas, share experiences and develop practical solutions to challenges facing Malawi.
He encouraged the alumni to use the knowledge and expertise gained through their training to make a meaningful contribution to the country’s social and economic development.
ESAMI Director General Professor Peter Kiuluku said the chapter would help harness the strength of professional networks to drive positive change in Malawi.
Kiuluku said the initiative would also strengthen collaboration among ESAMI graduates and create opportunities for members to support one another in their respective professional fields.
The newly launched Malawi chapter will provide a link between ESAMI alumni based in Malawi and the wider ESAMI alumni community across the globe, creating opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
